Effective Date: July 14, 2025
Overclock Technologies, Inc. (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard your information when you use our website (https://overclock.email) (the “Site”) and any related services, features, content, or applications (collectively, the “Service”).
By using the Site or Service, you accept this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use, and you consent to our collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your information as described below.
I. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect both Personal Information and Non-Personal Information in order to operate, personalize, and improve our Service.
1. Personal Information You Provide
When you register for or use the Service, we may collect the following types of information:
Name and email address
Profile photo (if available)
OAuth credentials from your email provider
Account connection metadata (e.g., authorization scopes)
Email content, including:
Full message bodies (incoming and outgoing)
Metadata (sender, recipients, subject lines, timestamps, labels, thread structure)
Attachments (where permitted)
You provide this information when you authorize your account via OAuth or use features that require interacting with your inbox.
2. Email Content and Metadata
As part of operating our email client, we sync and store the entire content of your emails (threads, drafts, attachments, and headers) to deliver features like unified search, filtering, categorization, automations, and intelligent suggestions.
This information is encrypted and stored securely on our servers.
3. Information Collected Automatically
We collect certain information automatically when you visit or interact with the Site or Service, including:
Browser type and version
Device identifiers
Operating system
IP address and location
Referring and exit URLs
Feature usage and clickstream data
Session duration and activity logs
We use cookies and similar technologies (e.g., local storage, session tokens) for authentication, personalization, and analytics. For example, we may use cookies to:
Keep you logged in
Remember your interface preferences
Measure engagement with different features
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function properly as a result.
4. Data Sent to Third-Party Providers
We use third-party large language models (LLMs), such as those provided by OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), or similar vendors, to power intelligent features. These features may include:
Generating email drafts and replies
Summarizing threads
Extracting tasks, contacts, or deals
Classifying messages (e.g., newsletters, intros, sales)
To enable these features, we may send portions of your email content to LLM providers for processing. These providers are contractually restricted from using your data for training or storage beyond the specific task requested.
We do not permit LLM providers to retain or re-use your data beyond what is required to deliver the feature.
We also use Third-party service providers that help us analyze, enhance, or supplement the data used in delivering the Service. These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their function and are expected to handle it responsibly.
5. Future Email Providers and App Integrations
Currently, we support Gmail sign-in via OAuth. In the future, we may support additional email providers or offer native Overclock-hosted inboxes.
We are also developing an app store that will allow third-party applications to request access to certain user data (with your consent). These apps will operate under their own privacy policies, and you will have full control over which data they can access.
II. HOW WE USE AND SHARE INFORMATION
1. Use of Personal Information
We use your Personal Information to:
Provide and operate the Service
Authenticate your account
Process and organize your email data
Enable AI-powered features (e.g., summarization, reply generation)

2. Sharing with Third Parties
We do not sell or rent your Personal Information to third parties for marketing purposes.
We may share your Personal Information with:
Email and infrastructure providers (e.g., Google) to sync data
AI processing vendors (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) for feature delivery
Cloud storage and analytics vendors that help us maintain the Service
Legal authorities, if required to comply with legal obligations or prevent harm
These vendors are contractually required to handle your data only in accordance with our instructions and applicable laws.
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your Personal Information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the promises made in this Privacy Policy.

Encrypted data storage
OAuth-based authentication
Role-based access controls
